Matt and Erin were doing a pretty common but extensive interior upgrade remodel. They replaced all of the kitchen cabinets with new custom craftsman style cabinetry and redesigned the layout to wrap around into the family room to be much more user friendly while also adding some very functional features like the amazing bar and desk area.
They selected Pismo, another high quality European wide plank white oak in this stunning silver grey color that blends really well with all the new paint, granite countertops and new cabinetry.
They took a fairly common small patio door set up and turned it into a beautiful fully opening feature door which highlights and gives easy access to the backyard entertaining area. Of course, we had to do extensive leveling to smooth the transition to the new doors.
Being a wood flooring guy, I really like the added free floating walnut shelving which gives the bar space a unique open feel.
They also wanted to replace all the hard surface flooring downstairs and remove all the carpet on the stairs and upstairs bedrooms and replace it with new hardwood floors.
Since they selected a craftsman style kitchen, we also installed all new craftsman style baseboards throughout the project.
