When Bill decided to relocate to Carlsbad to be closer to his kids and grandkids, he knew he wanted a home in the right neighborhood—even if it needed a little love. He found that perfect spot in Bressi Ranch, but the interior finishes weren’t quite his style. The floors, tile, paint colors, countertops, and fixtures all needed an update. Thankfully, Bill is in the construction business, and between his contacts and a few of ours, this house quickly started transforming into a true dream home.
One of the major upgrades? New hardwood flooring throughout the home.
Before we could get started with the flooring installation, we had to tackle some challenges. The concrete slab had multiple stress cracks and uneven areas, so we spent the necessary time carefully leveling and preparing it for the perfect hardwood finish. Once Bill and his team completed a kitchen island replacement and updated the granite countertops, it was our turn to bring the floors to life.
We removed all the old flooring, including the tile in the master bath, and installed the gorgeous 9 ½” wide planks from the Mediterranean Collection in the color “Marisol.” The result? A rich, warm, and modern feel that flows seamlessly through the home. This wide plank hardwood added elegance and depth to every space it touched.
While the master bathroom and closet will get their makeover in phase two, we made sure everything else was finished to perfection. Bill also wanted to update the home’s trim, so we installed new baseboards and craftsman-style casing throughout—subtle details that tied the entire design together beautifully.
From start to finish, it was a pleasure to be part of Bill’s home transformation in Carlsbad. Every decision he made brought his vision closer to reality, and we’re proud to have played a key role in turning this house into a personalized sanctuary for his family.
