Bill and Barbara were looking to replace all the carpet in their upstairs bedrooms and replace it with hardwood flooring to blend with the downstairs.
They reached out to their friend Debbie who lives on the next street down and found out that we had done all the flooring for their home a few years ago.
They originally wanted to keep the hallway wood floor but when we talked it over, I showed them how it would look more cohesive to run the new flooring through the diagonal shaped doorways to make it more cohesive.
Once they agreed, we got started moving furniture and removing flooring. We found out that we got lucky and someone only glued the hall boards together and never actually glued them down so they came out fairly easy.
You can see here that the new maple hardwood flooring flows very well through the upstairs in this nice little Carmel Valley home.
