We recently had the pleasure of working on a charming condominium in La Jolla, thanks to a referral from a local flood restoration contracting company. Their client had experienced an unfortunate water leak that came in through the patio, damaging the existing dark mahogany hardwood flooring.
After navigating the necessary approvals with the homeowners association, it was time to look forward and reimagine the space with something fresh and inviting. During the selection process, the homeowners discovered the beauty of lighter, wider plank flooring—perfect for creating an updated, airy feel.
They ultimately chose the Ravenna color from the elegant Urbano hardwood collection. The soft, natural tones of this flooring completely transformed the condo, making it feel more spacious and full of light. To maximize the new open feel, the homeowners also decided to replace their bulky fireplace mantle with a sleek stacked stone design. This clever change freed up almost a foot of valuable walking space in the living area—making the condo not just brighter, but also noticeably more functional.
