When the Unitarian school board began seeking proposals to update the flooring in four aging classrooms, a few committee members recognized our company and were excited to work with us again. It’s always rewarding to have repeat clients who trust our work!
These 4 classrooms featured original wide-plank wood floors that had served the school well for decades. However, years of wear and tear had taken their toll, making the floors difficult to clean and maintain. With students constantly on the move, the school needed a flooring solution that was both durable and easy to care for.
After thoroughly reviewing technical specifications and exploring various options, the board selected GemCore vinyl plank flooring. Its smooth edges ensure easy cleaning, and its sturdy design can withstand the daily hustle and bustle of active classrooms.
Before installing the new vinyl plank flooring the subfloor needed to be ground down, then a coat of luan flooring was added to provide a firm smooth surface for the new flooring to be installed.
When the project was completed, the school was thrilled with the transformation. The fresh, modern flooring not only brightened the space but also provided a practical, low-maintenance solution for years to come.
