Samir was interested in removing all of the carpet in his upstairs bedrooms and main hallway with new dark hardwood flooring.
He already had a nice dark hardwood flooring in the downstairs living room and family room and wanted to continue it throughout the upstairs but unfortunately that product was discontinued about a year ago…darn it.
We were able to find another rich dark flooring that would complement the rest of the home.
He is a heart surgeon so he was meticulous in his expectations from us regarding the dust control in his home.
He was adamant that we protect the downstairs areas from the dust and debris that are inevitable when removing carpet and prepare a wood subfloor for a new hardwood floor.
His idea of dust control was to take the family to Hawaii and let us install his new flooring while he enjoys the sunshine.
It’s a good thing that he did so because we had extensive issues with the construction of the home which was not level. This resulted in having to to pour a lot of leveler before we could even think of installing a new hardwood flooring in this beautiful home in the Meadows Del Mar in Carmel Valley.
