This project is for some long time friends looking to replace their carpet as a nice Christmas gift to each other. They wanted to remove their living room, dining room and office carpet to replace it with a durable wood looking floor.
They were considering either wood look vinyl plank floor or a durable laminate floor. When we took a look at how the products would line up with the existing tile it made more sense to have a laminate floor that would accommodate the height in the doorway transitions.
They are big wine connoisseurs and wanted a flooring that would compliment that theme in their home. We found a really cool looking laminate with amazing soft cross-cut saw visuals that yield a comfortable yet casual feel that actually gives it an oak wine barrel look and they really love it.
