Kathie was shopping online when she ran across San Diego Flooring Pros. She was looking to remove all of her outdated flooring in the entire downstairs of her Carmel Valley home and replace it with something a little different.
She wanted a subtle tone and nothing in the light white oak so we started looking at some options and came up with this unique maple product from the Legante Andora collection.
This color Rollo hard maple gives the home a unique but modern flair and opens up the space as the wood flows into all the rooms. They never liked where this family room had a weird carpet inset and looks so much better now that it has a more open feel to the room it makes the space look much larger.
She decided to give the family a break from cooking so we enclosed the entire kitchen so that we could do the hardwood removal and floor prep all without having to worry about access to the kitchen every day.
We also decided to mix it up a little in her fairly large entrance. We used some of the shorter boards that came with the flooring and designed and installed the cool bordered entry herringbone pattern to give the space some character but without adding in another color.
