We have done several projects for Chris and when his 20 year tenants moved out of his rental he came to us to update all the flooring in the home.
We removed all the old carpet in the main living areas and stairs and replaced it with a durable vinyl plank product from dyno.
The only problem is pulling the carpet revealed a really poor subflooring installation that required quite a bit of repairs. We not only had to repair the subflooring we had to add another ⅜ plywood to shore it up to able to support the smaller locking system of a vinyl plank.
He also decided to remove a small pony wall and open up the floor plan of the relatively small kitchen dinette area and run the new flooring throughout the upper floor.
The entry had an older style worn out tile and the stairs had worn out carpet so replace all of these with new vinyl plank flooring and new baseboards.
We just finished installing new carpet in the lower bedrooms to complete our Portion of the project. He is all ready for his new tenants to move in next week.
