In a recent project, we had the pleasure of assisting a dynamic couple faced with the challenge of replacing worn-out carpet in their bustling family living and dining areas. Working a considerable amount of time from home and aiming for a more practical and low-maintenance flooring solution, they sought to enhance their townhome’s appeal, strategically located on a golf course in the Carmel Mountain Ranch area of San Diego.
Given their limited time due to demanding roles in the Department of Defense, they spent some time on our website and selected a few great looking products from the Roomvo room scene visualizer catalog and submitted an appointment request.
I took the initiative to visit their home armed with their curated selection of flooring options tailored to their specific needs and we focused on finding a solution that not only met their practical requirements but also complemented the aesthetic of their living space.
After exploring various colors and styles, we swiftly zeroed in on a stunning pattern from the Yosemite collection and the color Vernal. With its 7-inch width, this flooring choice beautifully highlighted their furnishings and seamlessly filled the room.
Upon removing the old carpet, we encountered an uneven concrete subfloor. This is where our expertise as professionals shine, as we follow the manufacturer recommendations by using expensive grinding machines and self-leveling materials to achieve an even surface at ⅛ inch per 10 feet.
Despite the challenge of assessing the cost accurately with furniture in place and covered in carpet and pad, our commitment to quality ensures that we won’t consider the job complete until every detail is perfected. Our confidence in the workmanship is reflected in our limited lifetime installation warranty.
In addition to the flooring, we were entrusted with upgrading all baseboards on the first floor, giving the entire space a modern facelift. The clients are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to extend this transformation to the upper level in the near future.
