Referred to us by our trusted partners at Pacific Restoration, this extensive remodel completely reimagined the home’s main living spaces. The project began with the removal of outdated hardwood flooring, the original kitchen, and several interior walls, creating the opportunity for an open, modern layout designed for both everyday living and entertaining.

Working alongside Kristi of KWdesign, every finish was carefully selected to complement the home’s new aesthetic. After reviewing more than a dozen flooring options, the homeowners chose Monarch Planks’ Urbano Collection in Ravenna—a stunning 9½-inch-wide engineered hardwood that perfectly balances the warmth of the custom wood cabinetry with its light, contemporary tones.

One of the unique design challenges involved preserving the home’s structural support posts. Rather than treating them as obstacles, we transformed them into architectural features by wrapping each post with the new hardwood flooring, creating a seamless, custom look that integrates beautifully with the overall design.

As with every remodel, proper floor preparation was essential. Relocating the kitchen left behind trench lines in the concrete slab, and the original foundation had significant leveling issues. Our team meticulously corrected the subfloor to ensure the new hardwood flooring would provide a stable, durable, and long-lasting installation.
The home’s entryway also received a thoughtful upgrade. Originally featuring carpeted steps that interrupted the flow of the design, we recommended replacing the carpet with matching hardwood. The result is a cohesive transition that immediately elevates the home’s first impression.

Designed with entertaining in mind, this home features an expansive custom kitchen by KWdesign, complete with an impressive wall of cabinetry that offers abundant storage for gatherings with family and friends.

The true centerpiece, however, is the spectacular custom wine display. Rivaling those found in upscale restaurants, the wine cooler showcases a unique detail—hardwood flooring installed on the back wall behind the wine bottles—creating visual continuity and reinforcing the home’s refined, custom craftsmanship.

To complete the transformation, we installed new modern 5¼-inch Coronado baseboards throughout the downstairs living areas, providing the perfect finishing touch to this beautifully renovated home.

From structural improvements to custom finishing details, this project reflects the craftsmanship, collaboration, and attention to detail that define every installation we complete.
