Do you know anyone looking to relocate to the area? This home is now up for lease as a furnished executive rental in San Diego.

Wouldn’t you know that once the supply issues started getting better we would run into another shipping problem.

Monica had considered so many color options and finally found just the right fit to replace all the flooring in this Carmel Valley home. As it turns out they couldn’t get the flooring through the port in time.

We jumped into action and wound up finding a great replacement at the last minute. It was available and probably a better-quality product.

The family got to head up to Disneyland to provide a safer environment while we started removing all of the dark slate stones and preparing the floors in the entry, family room, kitchen and baths.

Once we made some progress, we staged the furniture moving side to side to prepare for the arrival of flooring.

She was looking to brighten up the decor with a light natural look and this new color from the Christina collection sure did accomplish that.

She also wanted to remove this funky pony wall in the entry and run the same flooring throughout the entry into the living room for a more open concept feel.

They also wanted to remove all the old carpet from the stairs and replace it with this vinyl plank flooring.

One of the issues we have been managing is matching up the thickness of vinyl plank to existing solid hardwood false treads.

In most cases I have seen other people just leave them as a complete offset like this other home I visited.

We like to give customers the option to shim up the plywood so that it flushes up to the existing woodwork so that you get a cleaner, more professional appearance.

It turned out great and they love the lighter natural color contrasting the dark trim wood in this great Carmel Valley home.
